‘river’ worship every sunday

‘river’ is our community time of worship where  spirit and justice flow.

‘river’ happens each sunday at 4pm at our ‘abbey’, st. anne’s church.

each week we celebrate the ancient mysteries of our spirituality with bread and wine, eclectic song, ritual, and creativity.  we usually have a children’s gathering as part of ‘river’ and/or intergenerational creative aspects.

gracias.

the jeremiah community would like to offer sincere thanks to the individuals and communities who came forward to donate items for some of our friends who are refugees and are moving into their first homes in Canada.  we’re overwhelmed by how much people gave…

looking forward to deepening partnerships as we continue to struggle for justice and to welcome with open arms.

summer schedule updates

hey friends

a few things to note on our summer schedule:

- river continues through late-august on sundays at 4pm at st. anne’s church.

- morning prayer is happening on mondays, wednesdays and fridays at the church (7:30am) and tuesdays and thursday (8am) at camino house (276 gladstone – house beside the church).

- river planning & taize prayer happen most tuesday evenings, but do email or call ahead if you’re planning to come, as we may cancel either of these, depending on other things going on in the community.

- our monday refugee volunteer times will be more sporadic in august. call or email before you come by!  we’ll re-start in full swing in september.

- camino house (276 gladstone ave) will be hosting a neighbourhood barbecue on the last saturday of each month (around 5pm) starting august 28th.

- thursday formation groups are on hold until the fall…

- there will be no reel conversations (film night) in august (see you in september)

we’re looking forward to the fall, with new formation and orientation groups – as well as a re-launch of all aspects of communion, community and co-mission in the jeremiah community. also watch for new website in the coming weeks!

grace and peace to you all.
