St. Anne’s Anglican Church and the Jeremiah Community (located at 270 Gladstone Ave.) welcomes you this summer to meditate and pray with the Group of Seven. Guided Meditative journeys into the only known religious art of Canada’s Group of Seven will be offered Thursday afternoons at 4pm, and 5pm Starting July 9th and continuing throughout the summer.
Come explore a piece of Canada’s spiritual and artistic heritage with a guided contemplative journey into the only known religious art by Canada’s Group of Seven. Step beneath the Byzantine dome of St. Anne’s Anglican Church and gaze up to paintings by J.E.H. MacDonald, Frederick Varley, and Franklin Carmichael. You’ll find iconic Canadian landscapes—majestic mountains, quiet gardens and stormy inland seas—set as backdrops to ancient Christian mysteries. No other Group of Seven collection is so cosmic in its invocation of space and time as these treasures at St. Anne’s.
